Good picnic / barbecue spots near(ish) to Birmingham?

Hi,
Can anyone help?
My family are having a get together in a couple of weeks, we live in Wiltshire and Cheshire, so Birmingham is a half way point. We wanted to go somewhere nice for a picnic, or perhaps somewhere where you can rent a barbecue hearth.

Does anyone have any suggestions? We are 6 adults, a 9 year old, 2 6 year olds, a 4 and a 2 year old.

Cannon Hill Park in Edgbaston is lovely and great for kids.

It has an arts centre attached with a nice cafe, a teahouse on the grounds, rowing boats, and swings etc for kids. Not sure if you can rent an bbq there, worth asking them though.
