Looking for a social life in the evenings! LS6

Hi there

I'm an older mum with a 4yo DS and I need to go out of an evening every now and then!

Am going through a rough time with DH and we are socialising separately. Work full time and trying to spend weekend days with family but could do with some lady pals to spend the odd evening with (cinema, drink etc).

Anybody up for it?

I'm in Leeds but I have an 8mth old who still BFs during the night so my evening social life is pretty inexistent at the moment!
Having said that, there's a Leeds meet-up next Tuesday (I'm taking DS with me as it's fairly early). I'll go and find the link for you now.

Oh, Mistlethrush, hope you can make it! How feasible is it for you to find childcare for Tuesday? How old are your DC?

In the meantime, Deedee, if the possibility of then meeting face to face doesn't make you feel a bit shy and you'd like to talk about what's happening at home with DH on here, I'm happy to lend an ear (unless you'd rather remain private about it of course).

Gauchita I'm sure we won't be the only ones who are a bit shy . Ive not been too private so far about DH (as I'm sure you'll see if you track down my other posts) but actually things aren't so bad.... I'll be doing mu best not to bore everyone with it on Tuesday

DS is just 7 - so definitely needs somewhere here - and DH is out at a previous engagement so I really need to sort something - our normal babysitter can't make it. Have a second option - and if that's no-go, a potential 3rd one... We shall wait and see.

Mistlethrush, keeping my fingers crossed for the second (or third) option to be available for you.

Yes it's been tough...but I do think we are now making progress (albeit very slowly). I need a break from it though! An occasional evening out and making some new friends should do the trick...starting on Tuesday I hope
