Can anyone in or near Cambridge help me to find...

...a pub that serves food, has a tv (showing football) and is child-friendly (ish) - ideally with some kind of garden, or if not, then not so urban that you can't take children off for a wander nearby?
Trying to find a compromise so dh and friend can watch football, while we all eat, and children aren't frowned upon!
Can be within about 10 miles of Cambridge.

Thanks :)

well the lion and the lamb in milton - has all of the above so that might be worth a try

Is that the one with a bouncy castle in summer Another?

Monkfield arms in Cambourne, small wood right next to it and should have the football on. Food is decent too, no garden but has outdoor seating and a carpark. Small park nearish too.

yes

In that case I add my vote for the lion and lamb :)

Thanks all - we're going to try for the Lion & Lamb :)

Yes, Lion & Lamb has TV outside on the patio too so you can keep an eye on the children, watch the sport and eat! Winner all round... :)

the bouncy castle hasn't been up much recently though cos of the rain - I failed to manage my daughter's expectations with that one last time we went...
