Childcare and nursery/preschool in Teddington

Hi all, we are moving to Teddington (renting for a year then buying; tenancy in Shacklegate Lane, I hope) in the next 6 weeks. I am now on the lookout for some emergency childcare, 4 days a week, for 2 boys (3 and 1). Anyone got any good recos on nurseries/nannies/mum's help?

I am going to look into preschool at Stanley or St Mary's and St Peter's as well. Anyone got any thoughts there?

Moving from deepest darkest Hackney so excited but daunted!

You'll find Teddington very different from Hackney - it's like waking up in the Truman Show Grin

No seriously, you'll love it. Brilliant place to live with kids.

Now, childcare. The school nurseries kick in the year before reception, and you have to apply around Dec/Jan 9 months before (the council website will have full details). There are some good nurseries around - I hear really good things about Teddington Day Nursery, off the high street. And preschools - PlayWam, Pavilion, Children's House all popular. Long waiting lists, though.

Plenty of good childminders here - if you want to PM me I could make some suggestions.
