Tried posting this in the travel section, but no luck so far, so thought I'd try my luck here.

I've been looking for days out for me and DS before he starts school in September. We have the Cotswold Wildlife Park pass, we go to Blenheim, and we've done a lot of the normal local stuff.

We went to Minster Lovell Hall today and DS loved it. It made me wonder what other free/cheap things there are in the area that we could spend time exploring.

I know there are a fair few MNers round 'ere... share yer wisdom please

Cogges Farm in Witney is wonderful! Lots of animals to feed, rope swings, crafts and activities, and the annual pass is very good value. Nice cafe too.

There is a crocodile farm (honest!) in Witney..

Foxbury farm shop between Witney and Burford is good fun for a few hours. It's just a farm shop and cafe but has animals to look at and you can buy a bucket of veg for a quid to feed them with.
Also, Millet's garden centre near Abingdon has got play facilities and animals to look at, all for free.

I'd forgotten about this thread!

Croc world? Awesome! DS will love it. Is forgotten about foxbury farm too.

We found the Roman villa at North Leigh the other day. Well worth a visit.
