My husband and I changed our working patterns this year so we could support our children ourselves outside school hours an spend more time with them. It's been a challenge working it between us but we have all reaped the benefits. Downside - school hols! If we keep sharing our holiday entitlement to cover we will never get time as a family. So does anyone have any solutions? They are now in YR and Y3. Best suggestion is far was to find a TA wanting income in school hols. Many childminders don't appear to want just holiday coverage or go away themselves in the summer, plus have had one not so good experience that the kids won't forget. Would welcome some ideas!
