Hi all,

I've just moved to Wood Green and I'm looking for a lovely childminder or nursery for my 11 month old baby. I'd really appreciate all your recommendations as I'm a bit bewildered!

Many thanks in advance,

Mamalovesminky x

Hi there, I also live in Wood Green, we moved here about 3 years ago from Crouch End. I have a 5 year old girl who is in Year 1 at Coleridge (a school in Crouch End) and a 12 month old boy. I am a teacher for special needs children but will be staying home with my baby for at least another 2 years and am looking to look after another child as well as my own. I am not a registered child minder but when my little girl was small I also looked after my 2 pre-school nephews so have a lot of experience! I do a lot of things with my baby, we go to Wood Green library on mondays, movers and shakers at Alexandra Park Library on Tues and Mini Motzart on Weds, hopefully now the weather is warmer we will go to the park more as well!
Please let me know if this is of interest to you and I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello there.
I am a Nanny but at the moment I am working part-time. I could provide childcare for your baby Monday to Friday - from early morning till around 3 or week-ends anytime. I live in Finchley, so it's quite close, I have a clean driving licence and own car, valid CRB, up to date First Aid, 3 years experience in UK as Nanny, great references and a lot of love to offer.
If you think I could help you, please do not hesitate to contact me on 07867 302 536. Thank you.

nic11111 You do realise that this is illegal don't you? Registering as a Childminder is not onerous but means you will be legally employed and have insurance to protect yourself and the children in your care.

mamalovesminky Congratulations on your move. Haringey FIS will provide a list of local childminders. You can also look on childcare.co.uk - using the advanced search is helpful on that site.
