Any suggestions for a school in one of the villages south of York. I have been looking at sherborn in elmett but by decision will mainly be based on schools.
Any advice for state primary and secondary

Dd1 quiet, very academic
Dd2 confident, loves dancing and singing.
Ds east going, looking for toddler groups

It depends how close to York you want to be. With regards to primary schools the ones I know are in Bishopthorpe and we have been really pleased with them - children in the village have the choice of Fulford, Millthorpe and Tadcaster Grammar(comp despite the name) - all three have good reputations but only Fulford and Tad have a sixth form. Copmanthorpe is also v close to York and children from there go to Tadcaster.
As a village Bishopthorpe has lots of stuff going on for children and York is easily accessible.
