Any cat owners out there? I'm looking to give 1 or 2 kittens/young cats a good home (I live in Shoreham.) Does anyone have experience of cat rescue places In Shoreham, Worthing, brighton or Hove? Thanking you Thanks

Well done you! There is Lost Cats Brighton or Cats Protection who rehome to the area who have oodles of cats at their headquarters in Haywards Heath xx

I certainly wouldn't recommend Lost Cats myself, we had a very bad experience with them - we visited there when looking to find a rescue Cat to home - I was not chuffed at having to explain the word "retard" & other choice phrases DD had overheard being used about another non English family visiting at the same time we were -

the people who run it do a very good job, so I do hate to criticise someone who gives up there own free time & home for a charity, but their views should be kept to themselves & out of earshot of visitorsHmm - I also found they took a dislike to us too & only offered us 2 Cats who were older than they told us & also pretty wild - not suitable for us at all.

Cats Protection on the other hand are brilliant, they have a far more sensible approach to rehoming - ie Cats to suit the home, rather than a blanket ban on things like - no kids under 10, not near roads etc as a lot do - so Cats placed with them are far more likely to be rehomed more quickly & with the right family - we got both our Cats from the NCC in Chelwoodgate

If you still need an alternative, we got our cat from WADARS (Worthing and District Animal Rescue Service). He was in a foster home with his mum and siblings when we went to choose him (with a lovely lady called Eve Christmas, I kid you not), but Wadars did our house check and paid for microchipping, neutering and jabs.
