At the Oxford Brookes University Babylab, which was set up in early 2009, we study how children learn about the world around them. We are particularly interested in how language affects the way in which babies group objects together, and how babies understand emotions.
Babylab Coffee Mornings
Every last Thursday of the month from 9:30-12:00 we host a coffee and play morning, and the next one is next week on Thursday 24th November 2011.
This is held in the Babylab which is at Oxford Brookes University, Gipsy Lane Campus in the Buckley building. Everyone is welcome and you could even bring a friend, relative, or your whole NCT group as happened in the past! There is no obligation to take part in any research by attending. It's simply a chance to socialise with other parents/carers and, if you are interested, find out about some of our exciting research on child development.
There will be plenty of toys, coffee/juice/cakes, and a relaxed atmosphere in which to feed your child and space to leave buggies. We also have changing facilities and a lift to help you get to us on the first floor.
