I'm writing from Otley Courthouse (a registered charity and community arts venue), trying to get the message out about our Christmas bunting workshops hosted by local designer SewYou (www.sewyouhandmade.co.uk) at our Designer Craft and Vintage Fair on November 13th.
The workshops will run from 10am-3pm, giving everyone the chance to make a fantastic and really warming gift for someone special, or even to decorate your own home. Some sewing experience is preferred, but it's not essential, and sewing machines will be provided, or you can bring your own. Prices are £45, with lunch, materials, and gift wrap included. The bunting workshops are a part of the Designer Craft and Vintage Fair, which will be open at the Courthouse all day to fundraise for the Courthouse and offer some very special Christmas shopping, so you'll also be able to take a little break and go shopping whilst you're sewing.
This is a first for the community, as sixteen highly skilled designer craft makers bring us a range of lovely hand-made work ? including prints, ceramics, textiles, jewellery and soaps.. Vintage stalls will also be in the building for the day, offering one-of-a-kind fashion and accessories.
Visitors can browse the stalls, pick up special gifts for loved ones, and enjoy tasty local cakes and tea in the Courthouse café.
