Looking for caravan parks near to Pevensey bay/ Eastbourne

I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I have family living in Eastbourne and I will be visiting them in a couple of weeks times. Looking for somewhere local to stay.

I have tried to find haven/park resorts closeish to above area, found Combe Bay not sure how far away this is.

Hoping to gain some advice from people with local knowledge. Could you please tell me the names of any caravan parks in the area. I am happy to travel in and out of Pevensey Bay as we will be driving.

The family we are visiting have not lived there very long and are not much use at coming forward with this info. I have spent loads of time trying to work it out on park resort and haven maps etc. but it is now just driving me nuts.

Any advice/information would be very welcome.

Thanks alot.

I don't know the names but there is a big caravan park just east of Pevensey Bay - not sure what proportion is owned or available to rent. There's also a smaller one on the main coast road between Pevensey Bay and Eastbourne, a few hundred yards east of the Sovereign development.

There's also a Travelodge on the seafront near the pier if you want somewhere more central - they often have offers and shouldn't be too expensive.

Have you looked on Google Maps or Google Earth? Zoom in on Eastbourne and you should spot the caravan parks and be able to find out their names.

There's that Martello Beach Caravan Park (Pevensey Bay).
I can't tell you anything about it, but probably worth looking up. It's not got arcades/entertainment etc like Coombe Haven. But has a pool I think.

Thanks for the suggestion of Martello Beach. I have actually passed it before and it is very close to where my family stay. Unfortunately, it is quite a bit more expensive than Park or Haven.

I have also looked at premier inn's etc. but due to having so many children we really need a self catering option, which is why we thought of a caravan.

I know this is an old thread, but you may visit again :-)

There is a caravan park down at Normans Bay, (just past Pevensey) I havnt stayed there myself, and cant quite remember what it's called but that may be cheaper than Martello Beach.
