Which shoes are best to walk on snow

I came to UK a few months back and have heard a lot about the slippery roads after the snowfall during winters. I am pregnant right now and don't know which shoes are best for walking on snow. Can anyone please advice me what to buy?

Hi lavy, google 'spider grivel'. used mine lots last winter, never slipped, on very thick ice. fits to any shoe or boot, small enough to carry in a handbag. cheaper versions on offer in most outdoor shops. buynow before the ice and snow starts!
