Advice wanted on Blacklands area of Hastings

Hello all, just starting to put feelers out on moving to Hastings. Originally wanted St Leonards but fell in love with the area around Alexandra Park last week and wondered whether it really is as lovely as it seems to live there?! Also - how big is the catchment for Blacklands primary - what roads are worth considering? We know the area a bit, but coming from London it's hard to guess anything else unless speaking to locals! Any advice very much appreciated.

We moved from London to Hastings about 8 months ago. I completely fell in love with the park and desperately wanted to live in Blacklands, both for the lovely tree lined roads surrounding the park plus Blacklands primary school, where we would like our eldest to go. We rented for 6 months and 1 month ago now we completed our purchase of the house across the road from where we rented. We have never looked back. There is a great nursery really close by on St helens crescent which our daughter attends too. We spend countless days at the park and the lovely cafe there. I have moved so many times in my life and I have to say, its the first time that I've felt I could actually stay somewhere and settle down for the forseeable. Just need to make some friends now. I am buying a house 1 minute from Blacklands School. Hope to complete in the not too distant future. Would love to make contact with anyone who is up for it! x
