Hi there, I am an active birth yoga teacher in Barnes and I hold a class every Thursday evening at The Garage Studio on Priest's Bridge, at the end of Whitehart Lane. Sorry I didn't post this earlier, I got submerged by the Easter holidays! You may well have found somewhere by now, but just so that you know a bit about active birth yoga....you will reap all the benefits of a good stretch and so feel a lot more comfortable in your pregnant body, but as importantly, this kind of yoga prepares you for labour and birth. The postures are those you will instinctively want to adopt, the breathing really helpful and learning how to relax to order is going to be key for coping. I have been a birth doula for seven years now, have attended over a hundred births (with mums at Kingston, St George's, Chelsea and Westminster and at home) and so my experience and knowledge is behind everything you will do/hear/feel. There's also tea and cake at the end, so a great opportunity to meet other mums in the area. If you want to know more, go to www.activebirthlondon.co.uk or give me a call on 07976 261542.

There is a free pilates class in Richmond/Kew being offered by the local NCT in partnership with Boomerang Pilates. Details are on their facebook page www.facebook.com/richmondnct

They are asking for a deposit to make sure you turn up but you can claim it back or donate to charity :)
