Mum and baby groups camberwell/ dulwich/ brixton area

Hello

I am 29 and first time mum to 6 week old ds, and am just about ready to rejoin society again. Can anyone recommend a mum and bay group type thing to help me meet some other mums in the area?

I'm also in the same boat as you and am looking for a mum and baby group in this area. I'm 27 and have a 4 month old baby girl (think I'm just about ready to rejoin society now that I've got the milk stains on t-shirts under control).

So hopefully some one can recommend some for both of us.

There is a lovely postnatal and baby yoga class very near you. A chance to meet other mums, make a gently transition to motherhood and meeting the world together-all very healing and nourishing. I went to these with my baby and they were just what we both needed. We are now great friends with members of the group too. www.sitaram.org

There is one at Brockwell lido Wed 1.30-3pm and Thursday 2-3.30pm

Have you heard of NCT tea groups? They are free and I found them a good way of meeting mums with babies of a very similar age.

We do Baby Signing at St Barnabas in Dulwich Village. Rgymetime at any of hte local libraries is fab. And Whippersnappers run lots of classes from the gatekeepers lodge at the entrance to Dulwich Park.
Agree East Duwlich Forum family room great for ideas.

There's another lovely Mum and Baby Yoga class in Dulwich Park every Monday at 11am that I run.

Very friendly and fun and a lovely location. Suitable up to crawling

Francis Peak Centre next to the bike hire £8

Fridays @ St Faiths (bottom of Red Post Hill) there's a bumps & babes run by Alice a local NCT teacher. It's fantastic - really friendly & supportive & ideal for younger babies. Think it runs 930-11. Made my 2 best mum friends through the group! x

I am starting a Mummy (OR Daddy) and Baby Yoga Class Wednesdays (STARTING TOMORROW) Wednesday 3rd May at Zen Yoga in Camberwell, just round the corner from Kings.

Class is £10, email me/ message me to book your place. 11am for 1 hour. All props provided for you and baby, just bring usual things you need for feeding (muslins, bottles, boobs) and we will ease through a lovely postnatal session for YOU that engages the bubbas too.
