hello all, i moved to old isleworth from battersea 2 months ago & while i am LOVING the new area due to going back to work part-time i am failing massively to make any new local mum pals. as much as i enjoy going back to clapham i?m now all about the local.

i?m around mondays & fridays & would love to meet up with some fellow mummies. i have a 10-month old son.

also would be great to hear about any local toddler groups & activites in the area.

more than happy to organise a meet up

cheers gwen x

Hi gwendy, we have a local chat thread you might like to pop onto, most of us have older dc's but we try to arrange evenings out as well!

I'm in Brentford, there's a couple of groups on there during the week. Mondays is ABC at the free church in Brentford (10-11.30), there's also the toy library which is open Friday pm (1.30-3.30)

hth x

Welcome Gwendy, I moved to this area from Battersea 7 years ago and it seems very gritty now whenever I go back!

On Monday mornings there's a drop-in music thing (Pinxies - never been myself but have spotted adverts for it around the place) at the Turks Head pub in St Margarets. If you're willing to go into Richmond there are also baby and toddler groups at Our Lady Queen of Peace on Sheen Rd and at the church on Raleigh Rd.

On Friday mornings there's a baby and toddler group at St Stephen's in East Twickenham. NB these groups are usually term-time only.

I work on Fridays but am free most Monday mornings if you're not busy at one of the above activities! My daughter is 18 months old.

The NCT do things locally. And not just for members either. Go to www.facebook.com/richmondnct for Richmond branch and follow the links under favourite pages for Twickenham branch & For Sanity's Sake who are definitely worth a look too.

There's also Richmond Netmums and Netmums local listings are very good (avoid the coffeehouse though. Far too pink & fluffy IMO)

There's a meet at Kew Gardens today for a walk at 11am. Just turn up at Lion Gate. It was listed on here but seems to have disappeared. Bet it's still on netmum Wink but will def be on facebook.

Hi Gwen, I live in St margs and have a 7 month old little boy and also have Mondays and Fridays free... I have met most of my mummy friends online! There are a few of us going to Jelly Bugs in Kingston (under the odeon cinema almost oposite bus depo and train station) tomorrow (Friday 25th) at 11 am... might be short notice! Failing that For Sanities Sake is a website which lists local events and there is a great playgroup called Little Feet on a Friday from 2pm at St Margarets Church (opsosite st margs station)... if you want to meet up let me know! Hope you find some friendly faces! Hannahxx
