Aside from the fact that now we are in autumn these types of things are likely to be few and far between does anyone know of anywhere which offers either horse / horse and trap rides or tractor rides or similar for children in oxfordshire
thanks

Not sure if this is the sort of thing you were looking for or even if it is close enough to you?

that is really helpful rindercella thanks. as it is 80 i think it would be best for a birthday party or similar where there are quite a few children involved but very useful to have that website thanks (we are central oxford and banbury direction is fine thanks)

Well, there's Farmer Gow's, which is a fair old way out these days (here). Everyone I know loves it, and they do tractor rides. It's not their fault that I face a trip there like the condemned woman Grin I just prefer to stay away from all animals.

This place is good and is interesting for adults as well as children because of the research angle. They have (free!) open days with tractor rides a few times a year. Sign up for their newsletter by email to be kept informed of upcoming events: www.faifarms.co.uk/newsletter.php

Try pony pursuits for horse & pony riding, they are based in Shotover Country Park in Oxford - rides start from £2.50
