Just wondered - ds was at the dentist today and he is getting an extra couple of adult teeth behind his new big ones - he's 8.

Dentist is lovely adn she said he will need to go to the dental hospital for assessment and probable extraction under GA.

None of my children have ever had a general, I'm terrified and he thinks it is the coolest thing out there!!

Just wondered if anyone has had to use the dental hospital (why don't they do paed dentistry at Yorkhill?) and what your experience was?

I've had a tooth taken out at the dental hospital, they were fantastic, much better than my previous dentist. I'm not the biggest fan of the dentist but they kept me calm.

9/10 in my opinion!

Hope this helps

No personal experience, but DD's friend's sister (are you still with me!!) had to get all of her baby teeth removed in the dental hospital and the friend's mum had nothing but praise for them, said they were great.

I've spoken to a dentist friend tonight who used to work there and she said that the assessment will be in Sauchiehall Street but any surgery will most likely be in Yorkhill. Phew - we know and like them!

Yes I work at Glasgow dental hospital. It's a very cool place. We don't do GA here any more, it's all done at Yorkhill
