i need to re home a tv any ideas on local charities?

I have a working tv, built in video(about 19 inch screen,.not flat screen) plus kids videos.
I know I can put it on freecycle/greenclycle but wondered if there was a local person or charity I could give it too.......??

Where we live, there is a charity called Helping Hands which help people on low incomes furnish their homes. I don't know if it's peculiar to our area though.

Could you donate it to your local hospital for patient use? I have donted a few games consoles and tv's to ours in the past to the Peadiatric ward.

It saddened me when I was at our local rubbish depot today to see dozens of tvs dumped simply because they were not flat screen.

Not quite a charity as such, but a local notice board to pass still usable stuff onto people who need it & keep it out of landfill

personally I prefer it, as these days, charity shops tend to take the p with prices, so probably out price themselves for those that really need it
