The Museum of Country Life in East Kilbride is good. www.nms.ac.uk/our_museums/museum_of_rural_life.aspx The big attraction is a tractor ride up to the farm. It's not a working farm, but has cows, horses and pigs. It's £5 for adults and childen under 12 go free and most importantly for me has a good cafe . The 66 bus stops about 10 minutes walk away.

Tollcross Farm pack is an urban farm which is quite good for young children. It is free to get into. It is in Tollcross park where there is also a swimming pool and leisure centre. Not sure how to get there by public transport but there must be buses which pass nearby

We went to Tollcross last summer and there were lots of animals. Keeping meaning to go to the Museum of Rural life too.

tbh the last time i was at tollcross i was really disappointed. there wasn't alot of animals there- mainly birds and rabbits and it looks so run down. the kids liked it though which is the main thing- you can get the 61 bus to it:)
