I have 2 children aged 4.5 and 3.5 and I am looking for activities/groups clubs that they can get involved in now or in the next year or so. If anyone has any info on anything like this I would be grateful. Especially banbury twirlers as my daughter would like this and something footbally

don't know anything about banbury twirlers.

if your DD is the 4.5yr old then I know the rainbows group at St Pauls church (prescott ave) has vacancies for september. They meet fridays in term time from 5.15 to 6.30.

I think Banbury football club have a little dribblers group, so does spiceball.

we do alot of activities with our local childrens centre. have you tried there? (brittania road; one in grimsbury and the sunshine centre)

thankyou twinkletoes. She is down on the waiting list for rainbows she isnt actually 5 till march though.

I am going to go down spiceball and ask what they have available.

Never tried the the childrens centres, what are they like? I live the opposite end of town but if they are worth going to I don't mind.

I love mine, there's always something going on. During termtime their aim is towards the under 5's - daily playgroups for 2.5yrs+, soft play, messy play etc and usual cover charge is a £1. It's also got a community room with toys, sofa and coffee thats open all day and you can just pop in for a bit of light relief. They also have after school clubs for the over 5's.

In the holidays they run a playscheme for under 11's one day a week for the £3 per child; tuesdays is family fun day - four hours of activities and you take a picnic for £3 for the family. Yesterday we were out in the school field building tents and bug hunting! They also do day trips once a week. This summer its bournemouth, cotswold park, gullivers etc.

definately give them a try. forgot there's also another one off longelandes road - the chuff centre, I think.

That sounds really good, my 2 would love that. Where exactly is it and can I just turn up or do I need to contact someone first?

mine is sunshine centre, its on the B5 route at top of edmunds road, next to the shops. next tuesday will be a turn up and take part. starts at 10am. As you are new to the centre, Gemma may want you to fill out a questionnaire to register but thats it. I won't be there as going back to work but my dc's are likely to be around with their grandparents.
