It looks as if we may be moving to Tampa, FL for 6 months this winter. My husband has a job there and although there is no formal support for families as it's such a short contract I would like to take the DS's and go too.
I can pack up and rent our house in the UK and there seem to be plenty of places to rent in Tampa but is it possible in terms of healthcare? Can you buy short term cover? The other things I can think of are transport, which can be easily solved by buying a cheap 2nd hand car, schools, can you get a5yr old into school for such a short time? And visas, I won't work whilst we're there but can we stay on the strength of accompanying DH?
Is the whole thing feasible do you think for such a short time?
