Anyone else get really down when friends/family leave after staying?

My friend has just been to stay with her beautiful DDs and even though I will probably see her again in a couple of months (briefly), and even though I love living here, it just always leaves me really down for a couple of days.

I get depressed when family and friends leave or I do. I usually have a week before and a week after that I'm a little grouchy and weepy and frowny. You have my sympathies and (hugs). Facebook continuously for the next couple of hours with people away; it'll make you feel better (or it does me).

Thanks.

I watched a film with the DS and then ate some chocolate!

Hopefully will be so busy tomorrow I won't have time to think about it!

i could have written your post jamaisjedors on friday last week when my friend and her dd left! they'd been here a week and we'd just had the nicest time - we were sobbing at the train station when they were going. i was also upset cause she's pregnant and i prob wont be able to get over at the time the baby is due .

but we've spoken loads on FB over the weekend and i do feel better but i understand your misery! think it takes a good few days for it to clear!

Thanks Canella.

A week is even worse because you really get used to having them around.

I get that sad thing when friends are pregnant too - two close friends have had babies in the last year and I won't see them til the summer.
