Happy Mothers Day from NZ!

Dh is currently cooking roast lamb with roast potatoes, kumara (sweet potato), parsnip, carrots and turnip. Friends are coming round to eat with us and bringing wine and dessert. Dd slept for nearly two hours at lunchtime which is nearly unheard of these days and I got a lovely indoor plant and card chosen by dd (aged 2). So a very nice Mothers Day here.

Same in Switzerland, I know that dd made me a little flower arrangement because I had to buy the flowers etc . Nothing special planned today, it is too grey and chilly. Happy mother's day to the rest of the world.

Happy mother's day!
We're in the UK but my mum is in Canada, so we keep track of both dates ?

Happy mother's day all mums in Belgium!

I am going out for a meal with my family this lunch time to a very good Italian restaurant just down the road.

oh LWC, that sounds stressful. Have a lovely Mother's Day (if you can).

LittleWoodenCake · 09/05/2010 09:42

Oh, no worries! Was a bit TMI, hence having it removed

Happy Mothers day from Saudi Arabia. Have just got back from a lovely Mothers day coffee morning on another compound where we had a fabulous brunch and got given a rose each (as fathers always forget)

Happy Mothers Day! Thanks for reminding me to phone MIL in USA

ShrimpOnTheBarbie · 09/05/2010 11:40

Happy Mother's Day from Aus! Was very spoilt! 3yr old DD really got into the spirit of things this year (and into my box of chocs) so was very sweet to see all the cards and gifts she had made for me.

TanteRose · 09/05/2010 13:32

I guess the US is waking up about now - hope y'all have a great day!

Happy Mothers' Day from Aus too! Have just come home from afternoon tea with 3 generations of mums in my family, then went to the movies with the DS (22). I'm feeling so lucky, my DDs (27 and 25) wrote the most beautiful things in their cards, I'm in tears thinking about it, because I've always felt like I did a crap job as a Mum. But they still seem to love me and want to spend time with me! Hang in there, all you Mums doing it tough!

TanteRose · 09/05/2010 14:15

Aw, crabb, thats so lovely...my DCs are 12 and 11 and it does feel like a battlefield sometimes - either fighting with each other, or with me...

I did get my flowers today, though - hurrah!

Happy Mothers Day from Austria. It's a beautiful sunny day here in Vienna My 2yo DS had some help from Daddy to write the card and wrap the present ;) and we've had a lovely picnic in the sunshine.
