As a fellow aussie who calls OS her permanent home now, interested to hear what you miss the most about home??

Asian food, definitely. I'm from Sydney and I really miss Chinatown and the food courts.

And the harbour, more importantly, restaurants by the harbour.

I also miss instinctively knowing how the society functions, IYKWIM. I always seem to be in a state of panic that there's something I should be doing (eg about my DDs' education) but I don't know about it yet.

I know what you mean about education, understand school certificate and HSC but A-levels etc no idea!

Darling Harbour is always a good day out, although a tough touristy but still good fun. China Town in London not quite the same either.

Where in Sydney?

I grew up in Bondi, and then lived round that general area for most of my adult years before I left.

How about you?

Other side of the bridge.
I do love the south side though - Bronte is my all time favourite. I want eggs bene or monster raisin toast at a cafe on the beach!! please please please

Ah yes, going out for breakfast by the beach. I think I've blanked that memory out to protect myself!

I love Bronte too. Such a nice place to be. Do you get back to Sydney much?
