Anyone in Eastern Europe?

My husband's job is likely to involve us moving somewhere in Eastern Europe to open a new sales office at some time in the future. It seems that he will have some influence on where we go so I am interested to hear about people's experiences in different places.
Where is good/bad with regards to standard of living, health care, schools, language, expat community/friends, transport etc etc. Thanks!

Would be helpful to have an idea of the options. Imagine putting this question substituting "Eastern" for "Western" - you'd get lots of people reminding you how different Spain is from Belgium from Italy from Switzerland from Denmark etc. Latvia, Poland and Slovenia are as different. And even the term "Eastern" is often a misnomer for what people mean, eg Prague is further West than Vienna.

So, specify a few countries and then google expat forums, I'd suggest.

That's exactly the point. I don't want to specify any countries. I'm interested in information about any Eastern European countries people can offer opinions about. It is possible that we could be sent just about anywhere and we'd like to try to influence it in a better direction rather than a worse one. Once I have some ideas I'll be able to search for more specific information.

Well, as Vienna is East of Prague I'd push for Vienna. Joking apart (and I used to live in Vienna and loved it) it's where a lot of companies relocated their "Eastern" europe HQs to, but that was really before the spread of the EU Eastwards.
