Anyone in France got their flu vaccine prescription this morning?

Does anyone know if we can choose from the the vaccines listed above? We have to get it done as d.s is asthmatic and I cannot take the risk. Am I right in thinking that Celvaplan will only be available from the end of November?

I actually mean at the top of the bon de vaccin.

My childrens doctor phoned me today to advise that there is a local centre you just turn up at (will believe this when I see it -surely this being France there will be many paperwork hurdles!) She wants us all to have it to protect 7mo baby as much as possible (plus I have T1 diabetes so high risk anyway) - no idea what if any choice there will be...

Really? I have been calling and calling my doctor about this, as I am pg and they keep telling me they know nothing about it.

hmmm - it's not all exactly clear is it! Seems to vary depending where you are...(plus we are fairly recently arrived so not sure health authorities would know about us to send anything IYSWIM!) Flyingcloud, I got the impression that arrangements are just being sorted out now...maybe your doctor will know a bit more now, at least your consultant will I hope! Try not to stress though - I believe there are still far fewer cases here than in UK.

Oh, thanks Dilbertina. I'm not too worried as none of us are high risk - and poor DS has had one vaccination a month for the last 3 months (MMR, Meningite C and BCG) as we got a bit behind what with all of DD's appointments!!
However, my paed does want us to do it soon, so I guess we'll have to bite the bullet at some point. Must admit, I DO know quite a few people who've had it now...

Flyingcloud, if you are in Ile de France (and I think you are...?) I think we are priority because we currently have the highest incidence in France. But I don't know about which vaccine is best for pg women so prob. best to ask your consultant.

I'm in Monaco and we received our invitations to SF vaccination on Friday. This is only for Pandemrix, but they seem to think that is good enough for 4 year old DD despite the adjuvant and eight (yes, I counted) other additives listed on the small-printed information sheet, including thiomersal .

5.5 month DS is not called yet. We are told that he will be called when the vaccine without adjuvant is available in a month.

Brioche, thanks I am in Oise. I realised last week that I haven't received a declaration de grossesse or a carnet de maternité but I think the vaccination for pregnant women isn't available yet.

It seems that the vaccination isn't available where I am yet. Also my gyneco was keen not to push me into it and told me just to avoid getting flu!

I am practically walking around with strings of garlic around my neck at this stage crossing my fingers at anyone who coughs, sniffles or complains of abnormal aches and pains!
