Moved into faaaabulous, huge apartment in the 17th behind the Arc de Triomphe. Kids booked it to start at the American School in January. Now all I need is DH, the DDs and the baggage...

Hey MrsSchadenfreude have you found a babysitter in paris? we're off there in a few weekends time and want a night out without dd.

BriocheDoree · 09/11/2009 11:38

Haven't tried them myself but have had recommendations for E comme enfant babysitting/childcare agency.

Bravo! Let me know if you need to know anything about the neighbourhood

MrsSchadenfreude · 10/11/2009 19:16

Girls not in Paris permanently yet, so haven't needed a babysitter.

Bonsoir - can you recommend a good local restaurant for lunch on Saturday? Have house guests arriving on Friday! Nothing too touristy...

Le Bistrot de l'Etoile, 75 avenue Niel (French)
Le Relais de Venise - l'Entrecôte, 271 boulevard Péreire (steak and chips) (no booking - get there before 12 to avoid queuing)
Noura on Avenue Marceau/Avenue Pierre 1er de Serbie (Lebanese)
