Brisbanites, where shall I go to celebrate my 40th?

thing is, I just want to go somewhere quiet and mountainous with dh and the dc's (2.4 and 4m) for a weekend. On a shoestring - but not camping.

Any thoughts?

Binna Burra - Hinterland of Gold Coast. Tambourine mountain - not sure price of accommodation but fab place.

Springbrook Mountain area is nice aswell, can find some good accomodation there.
Bit further down than Tamborine but worth it views and walks are lovely.
I love Tamborine too, especially going for coffee at The Polish Place. As long as you dont mind the Lorikeets.

Can I ask if you know any good playgroups in Brisbane and things for kids to do?
We are moving back after 18 months in U.K with dd1 4 3/4 and dd2 22 months.
I beleive our old playgroup has disbanded.

Not sure how we will get on after being surrounded by my family and friends for 18 months and am a bit daunted.
