I'm from NZ and we are about to move from France to Luxembourg, where DS1's school appear to be far more stringent about not taking extra time off around holidays.
So... am trying to decide whether it's better to go home to NZ for his 2-week holiday over Xmas (bearing in mind long flights etc), which means summertime and Xmas with my family for the first time in 5 years, or going for 3-4 weeks in July/August, which is the middle of winter and fairly foul!!
Any thoughts?
