Thought I would post this question here and aim it at Aussie Mums. We are visiting relatives in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney at Easter and I want to take some presents for the children. What toy do you suggest I could buy in the UK that would be quintessentially 'British' or perhaps unusual or difficult to find in Australia. Children are: baby girl 6 months, 8 year old girl, 2 year old girl, 4 year old boy, 6 year old girl. Thanks for your suggestions [hopeful emoticon].

Thank you for all these ideas. Sorry I've not picked up the thread again sooner but I have been away. I've taken your advice and ordered Orchard Toys toys for 3 of the children (who are brother and sisters): the shopping list game, the bus stop game and the British Isles puzzle. Amazon were cheaper than from the Orchard Toys website FYI. So now I just need something for the baby who is my cousin's granddaughter and for my cousin's daughter who I've decided is probably 9 or even 10 rather than 8. So what can I get her? She's probably too old for lunchbox/dressing up clothes or Orchard Toys. Hmmm any further thoughts would be welcome. Thank you so much.
