Best way to send loads of baby clothes overseas...

Hi,

I have boxes full of baby clothes, and my sister could use them.

We are in London, they are in Australia.

What would be the most economical way to get them over there? The baby's not due till late June / early July.

It seems really wasteful that we have so many lovely clothes that otherwise would just stay sitting on top of a wardrobe....

You should box them and weigh the parcel. Squeeze as much into the box - don't waste space at all because you could pay by cubic weight (ie the amount of space your box takes up rather than the weight) Eg I receieved a parcel from overseas and even though the parcel weighed 6Kg, I was charged for 17Kg die to it's cubic weight! - it was large and light! Better to be small and heavy!
Then phone round some couriers including Royal Mail's Parcel Force. Cheapest way would be by sea but don't know how long that would take to Australia, but may need to send soon. Make sure you get a service that guarantees insurance cover(do count up value as if bought new) and is trackable so you can track it's progress.
