my husband is considering 1 year in california to set up his bussiness over there. Can anyone tell me the best area to live for schools living etc. Can british kids go to american state schools. any other tips

Don't know about setting up a business, but the US embassy website www.usembassy.org.uk has info on investor visas, etc.

Your children can go to school if they are legally resident in the US (ie have the proper visa).
