So my SAHD DH gets nothing. WTF? Thanks Kev.

What were you hoping for?

Why should your DH get anything in particular?

Low income families get $950. No good for you?

Sorry, that came across as a bit rude. What I meant was, were you expecting something else? I'm no big fan of young Kevin and I'm not totally convinced that spending our way out of recession is a foolproof strategy but that's the way most economies are going at the moment. Why do you think he should aim the cash at SAHD's?

A friend at work said, "well he doesn't pay tax" after I'd posted, so I'm in grudging "yeah OK" mode. But then is is a tax credit? I just wondered why someone who isn't on benefits but also not in paid employment should miss out? We missed the Christmas baby bonus too so are feeling hard done by. Should we feel hard done by? Probably not but I'd just had a shit day at work with no air con

Sorry, very late to the party on this one but shouldn't you (as a couple, rather than you personally) get it as you're a single-income family?
