Ok, so we are in Singapore after arriving at 10pm uk time. We are here for 3 nights. DD1 2.8 slept on and off all day. doesn't help that she is smothered in a cold. DD2 snoozed on and off and they are now both wide awake. 12midnight Singapore time. We tried to follow their normal routine today.

Any tips as to what to do next. We are going on to Melbourne after.

TIA

Bumping for you.

Just go for your normal routine. We had five days in singapore on route to Aus - we had a cat nap the first day we arrived and then it was straight into our usual routine. SO being out during the day - sunlight helps with setting body clock and jet lag. Try and keep them awake for as long as possible.

Other than that - just try and get into your usual routine and stick to it as closely as possible.

Dd1 was almost 2 at that time.

buy some melatonin to give them just before their new bed time? You can get it over the counter in Australia don't know about Singapore.

Thanks for the tips. They are getting there now but it has been a striggle. Dd2 has been hit the worst.

part of getting over jet-lag is just accepting that it's cr*p! It'll take longer to adapt going east, rather than west, and 1 day per hour difference is often quoted as what it takes to recover.

Might help if you're able to rest/ nap when they do so you cope better when they're awake in the night. And be kind to yourself and lower expectations a bit.

Agree that sunshine will help as much as anything else.

Good luck - it will get better!
