Need some advice. My German ist nicht so gut. DS1 has a dry chesty-sounding cough. What can I get from a pharmacy to help him? He's 3.9yo.

Hi quietone, sorry I'm not much help as we always shipped our dc-remedies in from home. I'd try asking the pharmacist though - they should understand if you say trocken and husten!

can't think of any particular product. Is this Reizhusten?

Anyway if you say "er ist vier und hat ein trockenes Husten seit (since when)." they'll be able to help with soemthing.

I think herbal tea with honey and keep him warm.

Can 2nd that ZZZen, any warm drink you can get him to take with honey or even a spoonfull of honey mixed with some warm water can be very soothing.

I think honey is best too, in a little warm water or milk.
Or the Oma way, mixed with radish juice (vomit)
