I do like their kids clothes and some of the ladies clothes, not quite sure who buys Per Una but it seems to be popular. DH likes their golf trousers.

Oh PLEASE make this happen. My mum is in Spain and I either have to cart a shed load of stuff over with me when i go, or store a shed load of things for her until she arrives here! Would be bloody lovely if she could get stuff sent to her!

I think they are considering it actually, someone on a French Expats site got all the Anglos living in Brittany to send emails after they discovered Next had started delivering to France and I believe M&S emailed back a reply saying they were looking into it with the hope of implementing it next year, so fingers crossed.

Yes, they told me that too but that was aaaages ago. Do Next deliver to France? I did not know that.

We used to drive 3 hours from Würzburg to Cologne to go to M&S. I cried when they closed down their German stores.

even worse, i live in ireland where we have M&S and they don't deliver here! i live an hour and a half from the closest one and can't justify the trip so tried ordering stuff last xmas and was told they don't deliver here

I bet M&S could make a fortune, I have loads of German friends who would love to be able to order from Markies. As it is, I have to import the dressing up clothes, you don't get anything near as nice here.

With the fab (for us) exchange rate buying in UK is great at the moment.

Somehow i don't think they would send anything to Kenya . Besides I'm not sure it would ever make it through customs

They could send an extra packet of goodies to bribe encourage the customs officers to allow the package into the country.

We have M&S here in Budapest but it is a franchise and pretty crap. No food. Fuddy duddy clothes and a huge mark-up.

Agree PinkTulips that they should now be able to deliver in Ireland. Pretty poor that they don't really. Mind you - Amazon have really reduced what they will deliver to Ireland too over the last few years - seems to be books and dvds only (I think - haven't tried anything else for a while).

Turniphead - Tesco and Superquinn deliver in and around Dublin certainly - is that what you mean by food companies? I assumed they delivered in and around any of there major stores.

I'm in Saudi Arabia and they have a few small stores here but only clothes and smellies and very limited range. In Bahrain there is a small one that has a tiny food section but only things like pasta and other dried goods athough I did manage to get a christmas cake there last year! Not the same though and really miss some of the other food!

Ah, Christmas cake. I always have to use up my luggage allowance to bring over heavy Christmas cakes (very popular amongst the Italians). Now if we had a local shop where we could buy them at normal prices instead of the hugely overpriced British luxury goods stores then I'd be able to buy more of other crap to fill my suitcase, thus helping the British economy further.

All the other stuff like marmite and PG tips I can get from the Sri Lankan shops or Chinese supermarkets. Also Branston, Rowntrees jellies and Bird custard (Interesting that the ex British empire is now represented solely by these items.....)

However, none of these items interest me, I yearn for sliced granary bread and Dundee marmalade (alas not popular with the Sri Lankans). Why oh why did they close the European stores? The Paris one used to be a regular stop off point for during my business trips. I used to accept assignments purely because it meant I could pop into M&S.

We actually have one in Geneva, so I can shop there but I think it is just clothes. Maybe they will get some Christmas stuff in too so that I wont have to ask my mum to post crackers this year.
