Colonies de vacances UCPA, Telligo etc opinions

Hi,

My 16 year old is keen to do a colo in France this summer. She did one with Oval last year and really enjoyed it but the age range was big so there weren't many children her age. Some of the other providers have a smaller age range, so may offer more of what she is looking for. She is very sporty and her French is fluent, having lived in France when she was younger.

I have been looking at reviews and for Croq and Telligo, some of the recent reviews aren't great. UCPA seems to have good reviews, but it's difficult to know if they are for the colo or holidays in general. Any experiences good or bad would be really helpful or suggestions of alternative companies to look at.

Thanks :)

UCPA have the best reputation and my daughter, who has done lots of colos, say they are the best.
My friends kids also favoured UCPA. good activities and organisation

Yes, UCPA is best.

@MovingWithNicole @Ceramiq thank you for your replies. UCPA sounds like it’s the one then. Are there any centres or particular programmes that you would recommend?

I am not sufficiently up to date to give you advice about which UCPA course to choose but IIRC our choices were dictated by children's preferences (and the weeks that were available when they were) and it was just fine.

@MovingaboutIt really depends what your daughter is into and dates, etc.

@Ceramiq @MovingWithNicole thanks, there seems to be a lot available, so I think it’s a bit overwhelming for her to choose! She’ll probably go for a multi-sports one if she can’t decide on anything else. Thanks for your help :)
