We've been in CT for just over a year. We came from Hawaii were we spent almost three years before that we were here in CT for 9 months.

I'm from Oldam up North where I met my husband, he was born in California but when he was 5 his mum married an Englishmen and moved him tot he UK. He spent some time living in Wales then moved to Oldham. I have known him since I was 9. When he was 18 he left home and joined the US Navy, he has been in for just over 11 years,

I've been in the states for over 5 years and miss home terribly, still haven't been back for a visit yet I'm lucky my family come out every year!

We have been married for 5 years and have two children. Ethan 4 and Emily 2. Number 3 is on the way and due in August.

Anyone else on the east coast?

Hello MuminCT

I used to live in CT too (New Haven). Where abouts are you?

Come and join us on the All Those in the US thread. We are a friendly bunch living all over the US. No-one from Hawaii though.

Congrats on #3

When I read about the Navy, I figured you'd be somewhere near New London but didn't want to assume.

I wish I'd made more of living in CT - once I moved away, I missed it more than I thought I would.

We live right by the sub base.

Where are you living now?

I love CT I love the four seasons. My kids were so excited last year as they saw snow for the first time. Funnily enough Hawaii doesn't get much.

But I bet Hawaii is amazing. I'm in Chicago now - only 2 seasons really. Hot & cold. I miss the leaves in CT. And the hills. And the smell of the ocean. Not that the Long Island Sound is very clean (esp in New Haven) but it was always pretty.

The first time my parents visited us in CT, we drove along the coast. Mystic seemed to be quite popluar.

Come and chat on the other thread - we're usually about in the evenings when everyone else has gone to bed.
