Hi there, I know this topic’s been done before but I am looking for advice as we are moving to Hong Kong with two teenagers age 13 and 15. One was born there as we lived there for four years back in 2011 (we then spent eight years in America and they have transitioned to the UK curriculum four years ago)

Anyway we are being moved again by my husband‘s company so back we go. any feedback on HKIS or French IS or German Swiss?

would prefer UK curriculum or IB and strong academics as the older one particularly is very strong STEM wise.

The two main schools following the UK curriculum are Kellett and Nord Anglia. The French and GS international sections do IB and HKIS follows the US curriculum so I’d discount that if you want UK or IB. The other main option for IB is one of the ESF schools. One thing to be aware of which will have changed since you left is that all international secondary schools in HK are now predominantly local students which has changed their vibe somewhat albeit generally improved the academics across the board so in terms of finding an academically aspirational environment, none will be problematic.

Forgot about Harrow- also UK curriculum- out at the Gold Coast though.
