Hi, I have just had a baby girl (5 weeks old) and live in Madrid, gave birth in La Paz - I know nobody here! Anyone out there who would like to meet up for coffee / tapas - I would be so happy to meet you... I live in Chamartin,
Thanks!
Hermione

No, but I'm in Barcelona if you're out this way.

¡Enhorabuena!

If you do a search of this topic there are quite a few mums in Madrid. Bebespain is one.

I'm down south but Hola and Congratulations!

Hey thanks you two! So exciting to get messages...

itwasntme, if I am in Barcelona I'll get in touch - lucky you it's gorgeous there (I love the fried artichokes - delicious)

Amapoleon, Hola! I saw that thread but it was quite old so I wasn't sure what to do - I'll try and get in touch with bebespain and see if she wants to meet up for a rioja - could do with one about now!

Thanks again

Hello, Hello, Hello!!

Yes, CONGRATULATIONS from me too!

I have recently moved out to the Sierra so quite far from the city now. I have a DS who is 17 mo and I know all about not knowing anybody and how bloody hard it can be with a small baby. I admit to still be struggling now

The previous Madrid thread is still valid and its worth bumping it back up to the top. There are some really nice Mums on there and I know one of them personally(Impychica) and she´s definitely still around and much closer to where you live.

So, how did you wind up in Madrid?

bebespain · 02/06/2008 21:23

Is that you Lucy???? Love the new name - very clever

Sorry for Hijack, yes it's me, have gone incognito! Hahahaha. Having real problems with my internet connection, we must have a long chat soon.

Hi Hermione

I'm in Madrid..been here for 7 years now and live in Vallecas(south east)

Many congrats on your new baby, you must be kept busy at the moment. It must be tough not knowing anyone here..how long have you been in Spain?

I have a 13 month old DS.I am back at work again and don't have huge amounts of free time but we should definitely try and meet up;with some of the others too-see old thread too and lets see if we can pull our fingers out!!

Take care and hope you're getting some sleep!

Hi

I know what it's like having a baby here, even if you have been here for ages (me, 8 years) and have friends it's hard work. I'm no help to you as I'm down in Sevilla but hope you find some friends in Madrid thru MN. If not you can always post here!

So girls, heading to Madrid for a few weeks (June/July), how do I keep my 2 yo old busy, where are the places to go?

A big THANK YOU in advance for all your insider info ;-).

Mette
