Relocation costs UK to France

I've been offered a job in Evian les Bains which has a pretty decent salary but no relocation costs, which surprised me as when I've moved for work before that's been a given. I'd like to negotiate but could do with a rough guide before I go get actual quotes (which I want to company to handle if possible). So, have you moved from the UK with the contents of a medium size house recently and if so how much did it cost approximately?

I also need to factor moving the family and a dog which means a long drive from the NE.

I was told I could get legal assistance for the paperwork, but I'm not convinced that's enough. DH and DD have European citizenship so no worries with visas for them.

Thanks for any intel.

Honestly, ring up a removals firm who do international removals, and ask them for a ballpark cost.

Just bear in mind that the process is now more complex, due to Brexit. We moved to France, but the firm paid for relocation, and the amount of forms were crazy; we had to list practically everything for French customs. We used a firm called Hamiltons, and they were very good. The goods did arrive after us, though they left before us, so need to allow for a week in an Air bnb or something, potentially.
