Advice on locations in Dubai

My family and I are moving to Dubai in August and wondered if you could offer advice on where’s a good place to live. We have been offered the following locations…
Arabian Ranches 3
EMAAR south
Damac 2
The valleys

We will be working in sports city and my son will also be going to school in Sports city (he’s four). We also have a dog.

I don't know the valleys, but of those I would probably pick Ranches 3 and definitely avoid Damac Hills 2 (it's miles out in the desert and build quality is even worse than Dubai's usual low standard).

Arabian Ranches 3, the community Centre is really good there too. Honestly the traffic in Dubai is INSANE now, so whatever you get quoted online add 15-30 mins onto with rush hour traffic or an accident. I live in Mira Oasis that’s also a great location for sports city.

wouldnt touch the other places on your list with a barge pole, been here 10 years they’re all either too far from work or in the back of beyond!
