British schools in Dhahran - KSA

We are potentially relocating to Dhahran in Saudi - DH has job offer from Aramco. We have 3 children, one that will be in Yr 9 after summer, and twins going into Yr 5. Delicate time ahead of GCSE years that begin in year 10. Realistically wouldn’t move out with children till Dec or early 2025. Worried that the 2 main British schools have wait lists. Happy to start the twins at the American schools in the aramco camp if needed until spaces become available, but more concerned for our eldest child. Does anyone have any advice as to how quickly these waitlists move with people joining/leaving..?

also does anyone have any advice on the quality of education of the aramco compound schools..?

any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The BIS group of schools are excellent. Most like UK schools in terms of set up and routines

I don’t have children that age, but I do work in KSA a lot, and I hear from my colleagues that getting places in a “British” curriculum school is nigh on impossible. I know that there are loads of schools being built at the moment. My knowledge relates to Riyadh, so may be different in Dhahran. The schools should be able to tell you how big the waiting list is for each year.

Also, there’s a Saudi mums facebook page, I think.
