Moving to New Zealand from UK

Hello, I'll soon have completed an engineering degree and my partner has grown a media company (YouTuber). We're trying to figure out the best way to move to New Zealand. There's an entrepreneurship visa, but we're unsure as to whether the specific type of business my partner has will be accepted? It's a more expensive application. As instead we will have to wait for me to finish my degree and then get a visa, which will be cheaper and guaranteed. We would love to move sooner rather than later! Also where is the most affordable, but high value/nice places to purchase a house or land? Best places for children to grow up? Thank in advance 😊

Hello!
I can't give you any advice, but there is an Australia and New Zealand-section on Mumsnet. Maybe ask there too?

Good Luck!

Hi I can't give you visa advice but I'm a kiwi although having been living in aus for the past 10 years. Housing is pretty expensive in most big cities especially Auckland and Wellington. Depends on on your job I guess? NZ is pretty small and if you work in a professional job you are somewhat limited to one of the bigger cities. Wellington is beautiful, weather can be a bit crap though, windy and grey but when it's sunny there is nowhere better. Very walkable city with great cultural attractions and beautiful scenery, cheaper than Auckland and also the capital! Could look at purchasing a house in the Hutt Valley which is about a 35 minute drive into the cbd and much cheaper, can get a larger block of land with a great garden. Come to NZ, best country in the world!

You need to talk to a migration agent who can give you accurate information. You usually need money to invest for entrepreneurship type visas in any country, a quick google search told me NZ require you to have 100,000 NZD to invest. No point in trying to decide where you want to live until you know if it’s actually realistic. The bright side is NZ is easier to get into than Aus.
