Sixth form colleges/ Ibiza/ Majorca

Hello
We are possibly looking at starting the process to relocate to either Majorca or Ibiza in 18months, my youngest daughter will be 16 by then and college age. All her friends are remaining at the current school which she hates with a passion, so she’s very keen to move and on board with a foreign move also. We have looked into visas etc and looks manageable.

Does anyone have any experience of 6th form international schools or alternatives, she speaks only basic Spanish but will be learning. I wouldn’t want to put her in a Spanish college as I feel she’d struggle with the language barrier.

We are also looking at the option of homeschooling so if anyone knows of any types of expat meets ups that she could make British friends outside of the home, this would be great also. Is this even a thing ? Not sure if I’m looking for the impossible.

Any insight would be great just starting the research process now.

We are open to both islands.

Thanks

Hi. I don't know about Ibiza but Mallorca has several International Schools doing A levels or the IB. A lot of them have waiting lists at younger ages, not sure about the higher groups. It also depends on where on the island would you like to live.
BIC sa Porassa, The Academy, Green Valley, King Richard III, Bellver International College, and Queens College are the more well-known all-through international schools. Palma College is a dedicated sixth form. There are several newer ones on the north side of the island but I don't know if they are at A level yet.
Mallorca Tutoring Academy does A-level courses through Wolsey Hall (So I have been told). Escola Global is a bit less traditional.
If you join "English speaking Mums and Dads in Mallorca" you might get some more current info.
