No. When I was travelling a lot to the States, I bought one there. Even with an adaptor, the UK one was too slow and feeble to be any use.

Thank you.

the voltage is lower in the US than in the UK so you'd probably need a voltage convertor.

Theos · 14/05/2023 13:11

Are these available in the UK on amazon ?

I don't know, but if you know where you're going to be in the States, could you order from Amazon.com and get it sent there marked "To await arrival "? That's what I did.

SqueakyDinosaur · 14/05/2023 14:16

Voltage converters are very heavy, I think.

FlounderingFruitcake · 14/05/2023 14:20

Most GHDs are dual voltage so likely they will be fine. Big hair or any hair dryer is unlikely to work as normal though.

Orangello · 16/05/2023 21:30

it's 650W so you indeed would need a huge converter. Cheaper to buy a similar product over there.

Thank you so much

Just go to Walmart or somewhere when you get here and buy one.

Brought Ghd in the end. They work now!
