Yes I know this is very much "how long is a piece of string", but was wondering if anyone's made the move from Dubai to the UK recently and been through the process of shipping their belongings?
We're not quite at the point of getting quotes yet (as we don't have a date for moving set in stone yet, and all the shipping companies require a conversation on the phone to get the full details). However, a ballpark figure of what to expect would be super useful for budgeting purposes.
In terms of big objects we have the following: 1 king size bed, 1 trundle bed, 2 desks, 1 bookcase, 1 really large tv unit that looks like a bookcase, 1 sofa, 1 large armchair + footstool, 1 dining table, 2 dining chairs, 3 side tables, and 2 bedside tables. In addition to this we'd be moving about 10 standard boxes of miscellaneous objects (clothes/books etc) + 3 rugs.
