I'm trying to get some thick bleach like what is available in uk. Do they sell it in Spain?

Bleach is lejía.
Some brand names are Estrella, Clorox, Sapolio, Conejo...

I have lejia, but it doesn't smell of bleach?

This is like Domestos. Available at Carrefour and Mercadona.

Anedotally, I remember in Spain a lot of people using bleach in their laundry as more like detergent or "whitener" rather than for cleaning or sticking down the loo.

Having looked at a spanish website you need "lejia densa" - thick bleach - or "lejia hogar" - house bleach.

the ones advertised as "perfumado" or "con detergente" appear to be thin laundry bleach.

This makes perfect sense, I have lejia with desinfectante so that will explain it not being very strong
